Solar PV Installer
NABCEP certification will not let you pull a permit anywhere in the country. It's the industry's gold-standard credential and worth having, but it is not a license, and no state treats it as one. What licenses you is almost always the electrical side — only seven states issue a dedicated solar contractor classification, and everywhere else solar runs through electrical contracting because wiring an inverter to the grid is electrical work. The catch that costs people money: a general contractor license usually does not cover the electrical scope from the combiner box through the inverter to the interconnection point.
